[Music] ramesar hanad district North n Health oror Department Bangalore Dr problem 2019 17 fuerer Mr rameshwar is one of my patient who came to me with the knee injury in 2019 February he had a fall from two wheeler and uh he is a farmer so he has gone to get the local treatment massage bandages and came to us with a painful stiff knee so we put him on Physiotherapy and after 2 to 3 weeks he got the reasonable knee range of movement and we evaluated him his investigations revealed that he had an ACL injury so we planned for orthoscopic uh ACL reconstruction in February 2019 and post surgery he was doing fine he recovered fast second day he was discharged and he went home with a long knee brace and he was mobilized the good part was we didn't have to be make him bed rden so he was able to do his daily activity with the knee brace and Walker by 2 weeks we removed his Stitch gave him a small knee brace and he was was able to going up and down the stairs by 2 to 3 months he was back to his routine he was allowed to use stairs and allowed to use his car by 4 months we allowed him to use his two wheelers and he started all his routine activity his uh working in the field and he wanted to squat we told him look your NE ligaments lead little more time so our physio team went aggressively on him and by by the end of 8 to 9 months he was back to his field and he was able to squat and do all his activity uh we followed him after 2 years now he's now he's able to do all his activity he's able to squat he's working in his field and he's able to run drive two wheelers and we wish him all the best thank you the ramesar patient that uh 2019 February he came to the hospital for that diagnosed with that ACL injury and all and initially stage before that he went to that some local treatment like massage center and all and when we received the patients in the physiotherapy Department it was like lot of knee stiffness muscle atrophy and he was not able to lift the leg also he was not able to walk when he came to hospital in physiotherapy Department he was walking with the Walker and he was using the long knee bra so it was like kind of the very big challenge for to seeing that initial stage before the surgery so we discuss with the Dr Prashant Tani how we have to start for the preop rehabilitation and all so we plann before the surgery everything like we need to gain for the range of motion at least before that surgery at least 100° 0 to 100° and zero extension and he has to get the quad control then then only we will plan for the surgery so in within one week to two weeks we planned everything and he got around 100° range of motion before the surgery and good quarts control then after the surgery also we started from zero range of motion exercises quad strengthening exercises and within one week to 2 weeks he started walking without the Walker and uh within four weeks to 5 weeks he started walking without the brace and he was very happy while after the treatment and all and within 3 months he started riding two wheeler and four-wheeler he was very independent he started going office everywhere and all and slowly he want to play the sports activity and all so be plan very like customize the exercises especially the patient who want to play for the sports activity like football batminton tennis table everything and all so for that type of patient we need to specific that we have to plan for the customized exercises how we have to load day by day so they can gain for that type of the activity so we started very aggressive exercises and after six month and all he started be given some Target small small things and he's able to achieve so finally he able to start the sports activity he's independent and he's very happy and all thank you so [Music] much
