[Music] hi I'm Dr sharat damodar I'm the head of adult hematology and BMT at narana Health City uh and also uh provide immunotherapy for our cancer Afflicted patients now car te- cell therapy is the latest kind of treatment in the field of oncology uh specifically in the field of hematooncology to cure some of the diseases which have relapsed after chemotherapy or sometimes even after an allogenic stem cell transplant so diseases like Leukemia Lymphoma and Myoma which were untreatable once they had relapsed now have got this new therapy called cartis Cel therapy which can actually cure some of these diseases this is a wonderful treatment because you're using the patient's own te- cells and changing the receptor on that using a viral vector and after this process is done then these cells are infused back to the patient after a very mild little chemotherapy which is given which is not toxic at all all so this is something which is very easily handled by the patient and can be given to very elderly patients uh young patients and also with patients who have comorbidities and other illnesses where it is difficult to give chemotherapy and very strong uh treatment like chemotherapy and radiotherapy so that is why this is kind of revitalized the treatment of some of these relapse diseases which are otherwise very difficult to treat now our Center has also been involved with the initial kti trial in India and in collaboration with imun we've done this in Leukemia and Lymphoma and got very good results where the long-term survival has gone beyond 50 to 60% uh when we've analyzed them at the one-ear Landmark and this is very encouraging to us and this is something which we advocate for all our patients who had this relapse of disease and something which is certainly worth looking at from a patient care perspective [Music]
