[Music] hello this is Dr Vin mikoi I'm the pediatric oncologist pediatric hematologist and bone marrow transplant physician at manipal hospitals Whitefield I'm a Childhood cancer specialist and I am very proud to say that childhood cancers if treated at the right time in the right environment with the right team are Cur it's a very strong message I would like to give here that the kids can develop cancer although rare but once they develop if identified early and referred to a unit called pediatric oncology unit at the right time they usually have very good outcomes world over more than 4 lakh kids are diagnosed each year with cancer we have a burden of more than 25% in our country for of the world's childhood cancers it's a really important uh message that I would like to give to the family physicians pediatricians as well as the society who is caring for kids to identify the symptoms of Childhood Cancer early and refer them soon my team here is well equipped to treat such childhood cancers and we have lot of kids who have come out with flying colors I must acknowledge the effort of my pediatric team the nursing staff as well as the management who help us provide the child-friendly environment to help these kids go through the treatment and come out with flying colors thank you [Music]
