now typically when it comes to the issue of treating bed wetting we would like to counsel the child teach them as to what is it that we want them to do that they should pass urine once before going to bed they should stop drinking a lot of water or maybe caffeinated drinks or carbonated drinks Etc at least 2 hours before going to bed and then when they go to sleep if there is a time that the parents are aware that within 2 to three hours of going to sleep the child wets the bed then we advise that if possible that the child is woken up and completely made awake and aware and then taken to the bathroom so that they can void and then come back to sleep so that they have a dry night in some cases we may even advise the use of alarms wherein the as soon as the there are few drops of urine that are leaked alarm starts ringing but of course this requires the cooperation of the whole family
