hi I'm Dr Narendra consultant cardiac surgeon at manipol hospital Millers road bangaluru today I'll be talking to you about the effect of environment and air pollution on health of the heart we know with increasing population and alization and more vehicles coming into onto the roads air pollution has become a huge uh problem for the health of the people especially particulate matters less than 10 microns can reach the lungs and those which are less than 2.5 microns will get into the bloodstream and cause various cardiovascular diseases particulate matter especially small particulate matters less than 2.5 microns reaching the bloodstream are known to increase the chances of heart attack high blood pressure stroke lung issues which again will increase the burden on the heart and people who have abnormal lung problems like asthma it's going to aggravate and put load on the right side of the heart until we tackle the Menace of air pollution and environmental dust with urbanization our next Generations are going to have a huge problem when it comes to the health of the people and public at large thank you
