[Music] Bal [Music] overing he had a breathing difficulty so for which he had in fact uh requested for treatment in his hometown and uh it was going on lines of uh not not not unexpected lines but you know a biopsy was done of what is a suspected lesion or a mass in the right side of the chest it was a really huge MK almost about 15 to 20 cm in size it had been there for a while he was practically living on one lung all of us have two lungs both essential to survival but this gentleman because of the she size of the mass in his chest in the right side of his chest known as thorax the right lung had no place to expand it was filled with uh tumor so we uh red all the tests here and we found out that was a rare variety of a tumor known as a thymoma and it was a variety of thymoma which required a surgery and no other treatment was going to be effective for It ultimately we he was up for the surgery we did the surgery was extremely complex it took about 10 hours in total it required a lot of uh surgical Personnel uh from the Department from the oncology department we requested help from the cardiothoracic Department because the heart also was partly uh inward so with the entire duration of 10 hours we could get the entire tumor out in one piece including the entire lung and believe it or not he required five units of blood transfusion that was the you know the magnitude of the surgery but it all ended well he was out of the ICU in just two days and in fact he was discharged in has ear a six days [Music] to employ manpal
