why it's important for Karnataka government to ban hookah unfortunately it is perceived by the younger generation that smoking hookah is a fashion statement smoking hookah is not as bad as smoking cigarette but that is a mistake smok hookah just for 30 minutes is worse than smoking 50 cigarettes I'm not sure whether you're aware we already have 120 million smokers in the country and smoking is the commonest cause for all the cancers most of the cancers happening in India unlike in the Western countries 30% of the cancers in India are head and neck cancers this happens primarily because of tobacco inhalation it is a time for the political forces and the Civil Society to create an awareness that tobacco in any form is harmful to the society and especially harm to the younger generation so I would like to congratulate in advance our government for Banning [Music] hookah
