so in medications for erectile dysfunction for example they've studied sildenafil which is brand name Viagra extensively and they looked at the effect of Viagra compared to the effect of placebo and what they found was that men who took sildenafil had up to an 80 success rate improving erections in the placebo group however in multiple trials it was consistently around a 23 to 25 percent success rate meaning that a fourth of men in the placebo arm also thought they were getting benefit and here's the kicker their Partners also believed they were getting benefit meaning they were getting better stronger erections
