[Music] related this problem hospital hospital VIs well he user friendly sof spoken or there a middle-age lady came to me from biar with complaints of um severe disparia meaning pain during sexual intercourse and with a heavy menstrual bleeding now this heavy menstrual bleeding her bleeding lasted for more than 10 to 12 uh days um every cycle and she changed about three to four pads every single day with passage of cloths on um she was advised of course for a hysterectomy in her town but uh when she asked that with this hysterectomy uh will my dispareunia get corrected um she was not given any answer so that's why she came to Kolkata here when she worked in she was stable no uh any other medical illnesses we conducted a few exams her MRI showed adenomiosis on my per vaginal examination her uterus was almost 14 weeks globular and very bulky inside uh more moreover on the posterior side and severely tender um even uh on the per vaginal examination I could feel some rectovaginal nodules which was indicative of uh endometriosis also therefore we counseled her we after doing all the reports and examinations we took her up for uh robotic hysterectomy uh along with removal of the rectovaginal ndule so that she has relief from her pain during sexual intercourse and um also if there was any and we could see what was the grade of endometriosis and if there were any other spots and things like that and so we went ahead with the surgery we are um of course my findings during surgery were the same as predicted she had about 2 cm rectovaginal nodule also there were endometriotic spots on peronal pouch of Douglas so we went ahead with a robotic hysterectomy we did a dctom uh we removed all the nodules U we removed the rectovaginal nulle patient has gone home well within one day post op and uh she's doing uh good so if you also come across symptoms like this wherein you have severe heavy menstrual bleeding you may have pain during periods uh you may have pain during uh sexual intercourse you may have vow bladder symptoms you may have abdominal bloating um whatever you eat um uh you feel heavy all the time you are resorting to multiple gastric uh medicines uh you can think that you are actually not dealing with a gastric problem and probably you are dealing with a period problem and you need to uh show to your gynecologist uh [Music] urgently
