hello everyone my name is Ashima Pima gay and I'm from nagpur Maharashtra uh I came to know about my scoliosis problem a year ago I have been coming to narana health City for about 13 years now for my cardiac ailment Dr DVI Prasad Shetty had referred us to see Professor Dr Arun ranganathan for my scoliosis problem I have had come to Orthopedic spine and Trauma care Department with my parents in January 2024 we had discussed about the diagnosis and the treatment and they had suggested us for the um the constructive uh surgery in March so I had gone through um various test like MRI CT scans um pulmonary function test and x-ray so uh we had taken clearance from all the uh uh necessary and concerned departments like neurology Cardiology pulmonology and anesthesia so we had come in March with all the necessary uh preparation and I had made up my mind and uh had regained my confidence and cleared all my doubts with the doctor as it was a major surgery so on the 3rd of April the team of doctors Professor Arun ranganathan Dr venu Raj Dr naven Dr prajal and Dr Prasad had uh performed the 6h hour long surgery and it was so good that when I woke up I didn't even realize that the surgery was completed the doctors here are very competent and skilled they had told us about the procedure numerous times and explained about the uh pros and cons pre and post surgery my experience here was very nice uh this uh 11-year-old uh pre minle uh patient presented to us with uh T4 Hemi vertebrae uh gross uh shoulder imbalance uh and uh a compensatory uh curve in the uh Lumber spine she also had uh a limb length discrepancy and a fixed uh cervical uh torticolis uh it was decided to perform a resection of the T4 Hemi vertebrae and uh stabilize uh on the convexity uh it is hoped that the uh concave side will continue to grow as uh she is still primino and uh she may require a definitive Fusion later on if the curve correction is not felt to be sufficient even though the doctor said that I might not see major changes after the surgery but I have still seen uh significant changes and I am very happy about that um and I had come for a follow up today after 9 days after the surgery and I'm experiencing very little pain and my uh physiotherapy is to be continued for another 3 to 6 months I can walk and I have been restricted to do a little Sports running squatting for 6 to 9 months but that after that I can also be able to do that uh daily activities are very uh easy for me to do now just a little bit stiffness is there but I can do that [Music]
